Derelict Deserts: Dungeness

A large shingle area on the south-eastern coast of England, Dungeness is (loosely) considered a “desert”. The hamlet consists of a few dwellings, a power station at the end of the road by an old lighthouse (out of use) and a new lighthouse. The shore is used by anglers, but there is also that distinctive derelict feel with the presence of abandoned boats, engines, small railway tracks and buildings.
